Hippocampus

The word hippocampus comes from a Greek word for a seahorse monster, something that existed abundantly in the waters of the Mediterranean before the fishermen started using TNT to calm the fish (and sea monsters) down before netting them in. Nowadays it is more common to observe white plastic bag monsters and full grown tuna the size of minnows in the Aegean and Ionian seas. Fortunately the Dentzel hippocampi have not gotten smaller but larger, the most recent ones made by William I, William II and David were all as big or bigger than the early Dentzel monsters. If this trend continues, much larger mechanisms will have to be built in order to get the hippocampus moving again.
